After depositing bounty stakes pledged by TKP, you have two options to get tied collateral back.
Option 1: Get collateral back before bounty distribution
You can return bounty stakes (previously deposited) to the system at any time before the distribution of related bounty tokens to bounty hunters. In that case, you get TKP collateral back instantly.
- Open Collateralize Asset page.
- Scroll down to find the line with the bounty stakes which you want to return and release tied TKP collateral.
- Click on [settle] button as shown in the below example.
IMPORTANT: Make sure that you have the same stakes available on your balance. If you don’t have, then delete all active orders with these stakes or buy them. Then, click on [Settle] again.
Option 2: Get collateral back after bounty distribution
If you had not done as described in the 1st option above or have some unsettled bounty stakes, then Tokpie sends you an email notification containing the following information:
-
amount of bounty tokens that you must send to Tokpie. It’s calculated as
stakes-to-token conversion rate x the number of unsettled bounty stakes
-
a wallet address to which you must transfer bounty tokens.
NOTE: Tokpie sends such email notification only after tokens are distributed to all bounty hunters. After getting notification, you will have 48 hours to send bounty tokens.
After a successful transfer, you will get back TKP tokens previously tied as collateral and your obligation will be settled automatically.
What if bounty campaign fails
It might happen that a project whose bounty stakes listed on Tokpie doesn’t distribute its tokens to bounty hunters for any reason (a failed project). In that case, Tokpie returns TKP collateral to a user who has collateralized and deposited its bounty stakes, due to the formula:
TKP pledged as collateral - TKP tokens already obtained by a user from selling the related bounty stakes
